Two kinds of help.

A small project she can organize, or a planting design. When a drawing needs a stamp, a local licensed firm comes in.

Build and coordinate.

Dog doors, fences, shade, pavers, irrigation. Violet defines the job and organizes the work she can do. Licensed trades handle the rest.

  • AccessGates, steps, dog doors, daily circulation
  • BuildPatios, shade, beds, fences, small outdoor rooms
  • WaterIrrigation, rainwater, drainage
  • FinishMaterials, contractors, schedule, final walkthrough

90 minutes on site, written next steps. The $195 credits to an eligible project of $1,000+ within 30 days. She is not a licensed landscape architect. Permits, sealed drawings, and regulated trades go through a local licensed firm — often on a job she has already sold.

Landscape design.

A plant palette, a planting plan, or a whole-yard concept. She draws the design. If it needs a stamp or a permit, she brings a licensed firm onto the project.

Plant selection

A site-specific plant palette built around microclimates, seasonal interest, habitat value, and the way the outdoor space should feel.

  • 60-minute site visit
  • Curated plant palette
  • Seasonal and habitat notes
Plant recommendations for one residential property. A drawn placement plan and irrigation design are not included.
03$650

Planting plan

A defined planting plan that places selected species to strengthen habitat, seasonal change, and daily use.

  • 75-minute site visit
  • Plant palette and placement plan
  • One review and revision
One defined planting area up to 1,500 square feet. Irrigation engineering, sealed drawings, and construction documents are not included. A licensed firm is brought in when those are required.
04$1,250

Complete yard concept

A whole-site concept connecting planting, outdoor rooms, circulation, shade, water, and conceptual hardscape direction.

  • 90-minute site visit
  • Concept plan and design direction
  • Planting and conceptual hardscape strategy
  • One review and revision
One residential property up to one quarter acre. Permit, grading, engineering, and stamped documents are not included. Violet designs and coordinates; a local licensed firm signs what the law requires.

The
approach.

  1. 01

    Site evaluation.

Document existing vegetation, materials, shade, drainage, circulation, and constraints before recommending changes.

  2. 02

    Ecological performance.

Select plant communities for climate tolerance, habitat value, seasonal structure, maintenance requirements, and long-term establishment.

  3. 03

    Water management.

Evaluate irrigation demand, runoff, infiltration, and opportunities for active or passive rainwater harvesting appropriate to the site.

  4. 04

    Use and circulation.

Organize access, pathways, gathering areas, service zones, pets, planting, and site features into a clear functional plan.

Desert-raised.
Critter-curious.

Violet Dasse grew up in Tucson and has always paid attention to the plants and creatures of the Sonoran Desert. She sees a yard as part of the home and part of a living system, with space for people, animals, insects, water, and change.
