Terms of
service.
These terms govern website inquiries, online bookings, design and coordination work, and professional harp performances provided by Violet Dasse.
Agreement
By using the website, submitting an inquiry, or purchasing a service, you agree to these Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund and Cancellation Policy. If a signed project proposal conflicts with these website terms, the signed proposal controls for that project.
Services and qualifications
Violet provides residential landscape design, site observation, planting guidance, concept development, sourcing, and project coordination. She may also help define and coordinate practical property improvements.
Violet is not representing herself as a licensed landscape architect, architect, engineer, general contractor, electrician, plumber, or other regulated professional. She does not provide professional seals, engineering, permit approvals, surveying, code certification, or regulated trade work. Work requiring a license, permit, inspection, or specialized approval must be completed by the appropriate qualified professional under a separate agreement.
Residential consultation credit
The $195 residential project consultation is a paid service covering the scheduled property visit, discussion, and stated recommendations. It is nonrefundable once booked, subject to the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
If the customer accepts a written Violet Dasse design or coordination proposal totaling at least $1,000 within 30 calendar days after the consultation, the full $195 consultation fee will be credited once toward that proposal. The credit has no cash value, cannot exceed the amount due, cannot be combined across projects, and does not apply to amounts owed directly to third-party contractors or suppliers.
Scheduling and travel
Availability shown online is subject to successful payment and confirmation. Visits within 15 miles of Violet's central Tucson reference point include travel. For locations more than 15 and up to 60 miles away, round-trip travel is charged at $1.50 per mile for each mile traveled in both directions. The website displays the calculated amount before payment.
Locations beyond 60 miles require a $175 regional planning deposit. That deposit begins planning and outreach but does not establish the final travel, lodging, project price, or appointment. Those terms require a separate quote and confirmation.
Harp performances
Published harp packages are for solo acoustic harp. Harp travel is charged at $5 per mile in both directions from Violet's Tucson reference point and is displayed before payment.
Amplification is not included. If amplification is required, the performance needs a different rented harp, additional transport and production time, and a qualified sound operator. A properly equipped venue DJ may serve in that role; otherwise a separate operator must be hired. Amplification, instrument rental, sound labor, rehearsals, additional musicians, difficult access, lodging, weather accommodations, and unusual production requirements need a separate written quote.
The customer must provide safe load-in access and a level, stable performance area. Outdoor events require full shade, dry conditions, a safe temperature, and a suitable weather backup. Violet may pause, relocate, or cancel a performance when conditions could damage the instrument or create an unsafe situation.
Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate contact, address, site, access, and project information.
- Confirm property ownership or authority to request work at the property.
- Disclose known hazards, access restrictions, HOA requirements, utilities, animals, and relevant site conditions.
- Review recommendations, measurements, plant information, scopes, and proposals before authorizing purchases or construction.
- Contract directly with licensed or insured professionals when their qualifications are required.
Plans, estimates, and site conditions
Concepts, plant recommendations, preliminary quantities, schedules, and cost ranges are professional guidance based on information available at the time. Site conditions, availability, weather, permitting, contractor pricing, and field discoveries may require changes. Unless a signed proposal expressly says otherwise, Violet does not guarantee plant survival, construction pricing, permit approval, contractor performance, or a particular outcome.
Payments and third parties
Online payments are processed securely by Stripe and may be administered through a payment and website operations partner acting for the service. The statement descriptor may identify that processor or administrative partner. Third-party materials, contractors, permits, lodging, and regulated services are not included unless a written proposal states otherwise.
Intellectual property
Violet retains ownership of her methods, working files, reusable details, and portfolio rights. After full payment, the customer may use final deliverables for the identified property and project. Deliverables may not be resold, reused at another property, or materially altered for construction without written permission. Violet may photograph or describe completed work for her portfolio unless the customer requests confidentiality in writing before publication.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Violet is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for the acts, omissions, pricing, scheduling, or workmanship of independent contractors, suppliers, or licensed professionals. Any direct liability arising from a purchased Violet service is limited to the amount the customer paid Violet for that specific service, except where such a limitation is prohibited by law.
Arizona law
These terms are governed by Arizona law. Before filing a claim, the customer and Violet agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue directly. Nothing in these terms waives a right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.
